Intrusion Detection

Intrusion detection systems are crucial for the mitigation of risk to your people, property, and profits. Motion Detection

Intrusion detection ranges in complexity from basic to very sophisticated systems.  Sensors come in all shapes, sizes, and applications ranging from simple door contacts to life safety duress and location buttons.  Monitoring of an intrusion system is accomplished through the phone, or internet connection. The main control panel contacts the central station and identifies the site and the alarm conditions. The central station then alerts the necessary personnel—Police, Fire, and/or Medical—to rush to the scene. As additional protection cellular back-up systems can be used in the event the phone lines or Intruinternet connection is down. If a back-up communication system is not installed, alarm conditions cannot be reported to the central station when the standard communication lines are down.

Early detection of undesired activity can allow the appropriate people to quickly respond and determine what or if further action is required.   Most organizations including (but not limited to) schools, industrial sites, commercial offices, critical infrastructure can benefit from intrusion detection in various ways.  For example, a biotechnology company with ongoing research using incubators must keep these environments within a specific range of conditions.  Temperature and humidity sensors allow these organizations to closely monitor status of the investments and quickly deploy personnel before significant damage is done.  Also, duress buttons at facilities such as retail, healthcare, or government entities can quickly alert authorities when personnel and policy deem it necessary.

Whether you have a large facility requiring perimeter protection or are a technology company with valuable intellectual property, Teknon will tailor your intrusion detection system to assist in meeting the needs of your organization and its objectives.
